Area Sales Manager - Ireland

So, what do we want from you?…

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager to join our team and drive sales growth in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets.

This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the hydraulic and fluid power sector.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory – the territory will depend on your home location - Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing enquiries, and resolving issues promptly, by working closely with the Ireland Facility and other STAUFF outlets as necessary.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of STAUFF UK’s product range and applications. Educate customers on product features, benefits, and applications to drive product adoption and sales.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. Provide feedback and insights to the management team to inform strategic decisions.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare sales reports, forecasts as required. Use CRM tools to track and manage customer interactions and sales activities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the internal sales, MarCom, and technical support teams to ensure customer needs are met and to drive coordinated efforts in the territory.

 

What have you developed to make you the best you can be?:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the hydraulic, fluid power, or related industrial sectors. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Education: GCSE Grade C in English, Math and Science or equivalent.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
    • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
    • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
    • Proficient in using CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Travel: This is a field-based job with 4 days per week minimum required on the territory, therefore a willingness to travel extensively within Ireland to meet customers and attend industry events is essential. As is a full clean diving licence
