Quality Engineer
Location: Sheffield, STAUFF UK
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:
Establishing Quality Control: Assist in developing and implementing robust quality control processes and procedures that ensure excellence.
Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to address and resolve quality issues, ensuring seamless communication and cooperation.
Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations to identify root causes of issues and implement effective corrective and preventive measures.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all products and processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, particularly ISO 9001:2015.
Audit Precision: Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits at supplier premises to verify that quality standards are consistently met.
Data-Driven Improvement: Monitor and analyse quality data to identify trends and areas for continuous improvement.
Documentation Excellence: Investigate and document Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in line with company requirements, and prepare detailed 8D, ISIR, PPAP, and FAIR reports.
Project Management: Manage customer-specific projects, ensuring that quality objectives are achieved within the set deadlines.
Technical Advice: Provide technical support and advice based on engineering drawings and support quality assurance activities through SAP investigations.
Skills and Experience Required:
Proven Quality Expertise: Experience in a similar Quality Engineer role, with strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct detailed root cause analyses and implement effective corrective actions.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organisation.
Organisational Abilities: Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP, tube manipulation, hose assembly, and gravimetric and particulate cleanliness testing is advantageous.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in Excel, Word, and basic Access for logging purposes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Educational Background: Engineering qualifications are preferred; however, a minimum of GCSE level education is essential.
Vocational Training: QMS Auditor Training (Internal and External), Product Training, and Negotiation Skills are highly desirable.
Industry Experience: Previous experience in the hydraulics industry is a plus.
