STAUFF ACT-MLC Multi-Line Clamps

ACT-MLC clamps are built upon the proven design principles of STAUFF’s regular ACT clamps – developed in Standard or the Twin Series and in accordance with DIN 3015 standards – while introducing multi-line capability to allow for the parallel installation of multiple pipes in compact or restricted access environments. Like regular ACT clamps, the ACT-MLC clamp bodies incorporate integrated elastomer strips, which prevent seawater accumulation between the clamp body and pipe surface. This design significantly reduces the risk of crevice corrosion, a persistent issue in stainless steel instrumentation pipework, particularly in marine and offshore applications.

ACT-MLC Clamp explosion

Perforated C-shaped metal rails made from high-grade stainless steel V4A providing structural strength and corrosion resistance

Perforated C-shaped metal rails available in standard lengths to accommodate 3 or 5 pipes or 10 pipes for maximum flexibility during assembly – custom lengths up to 2 meters can be cut to size for tailored installations.

Easy to molunt into standard field trays and cable ladders with diagonal, lengthwise, and crosswise perforations using hammer head bolts and all-metal self-locking hexagon nuts

Available for the most common outside diameters for instrumentation pipework: 6,4 mm (¼ inch), 9,5 mm (⅜ inch) and 12,7 mm (½ inch) – additional diameters on request

Clamp inserts made from flame-retardant Polypropylene PP-V0 material

Integrated elastomer strips to prevent the ingress and accumulation of seawater between the clamp inserts and the pipe surface

Overall design fully compliant with Norsok Z-010 and specification S-716 of the International Oil & Gas Producers Association (IOGP) for small bore tubing and fittings, which was created as part of the Joint Industry Programme 33 (JIP 33)

Dedicated distance sleeves ensuring optimal compression on the clamp inserts and their integrated elastomer strips for peak corrosion resistance

We are presenting the new ACT-MLC Multi-Line-Clamps

The ACT-MLC series represents the latest development in STAUFF’s Anti-Corrosion Technology (ACT) clamp portfolio. Specifically engineered for the parallel installation of multiple pipes in instrumentation and hydraulic systems, ACT-MLC clamps combine a space-saving multi-line design with enhanced corrosion protection proven in long-term field use of the design and laboratory testing.

Like regular Single and Twin clamps in the ACT range, ACT-MLC clamps feature integrated elastomer strips within the clamp insert as well as drainage channels to prevent the ingress and accumulation of seawater between the clamp bdy and pipe surface. This eliminates one of the primary causes of crevice corrosion on stainless steel instrumentation pipework and hydraulic tubing, extending the service life of critical components in marine, offshore, and other aggressive industrial environments.

What makes ACT-MLC Multi-Line-Clamps unique?

The ACT-MLC series is the result of thoughtful engineering and materials science:

  • The clamp inserts are made from flame-retardant plastic material based on Polypropylene (PP-V0), enhanced with integrated elastomer strips for added sealing and protection against the ingress of seawater.

  • The C-shaped metal rails, made from high-grade stainless steel V4A, provide structural strength and corrosion resistance.

  • Rails are available in standard lengths to accommodate 3 or 5 pipes (with two bolts) or 10 pipes (with three bolts, including one centrally positioned).

  • Custom lengths up to 2 meters can be easily cut to size for tailored installations.

  • Using hammer head bolts and precision distance sleeves, the clamps are secured with the correct pressure to maximize performance and longevity.

  • ACT-MLC can be easily mounted into standard field trays and cable ladders, thanks to its bolt-and-slot design that accommodates diagonal, lengthwise, and crosswise perforations.

To maintain maximum corrosion protection, we recommend storing ACT components (in particular metal parts) separately from carbon steel and using clean tools during assembly.

What are the areas of application for the new ACT-MLC Multi-Line Clamps?

Whether you're working on an offshore platform, an FPSO unit, or any industrial facility exposed to extreme conditions, the ACT-MLC series is engineered to protect your instrumentation and hydraulic systems from the elements – without compromising on space and enhancing ease of use.
